1. Metered and Unmetered Bandwidth
A metered plan includes the traffic allowance stated in the order. An unmetered plan does not impose a fixed transfer quota unless the order states one, but it remains subject to the purchased port speed, network capacity, abuse controls and reasonable use of shared upstream infrastructure.
2. Port Speed
A port speed such as 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps or 25 Gbps describes the maximum interface or service profile and is not a guarantee that every destination, protocol or Internet route will sustain that rate continuously. Actual throughput depends on routing, congestion, remote networks, protocol overhead and workload.
3. Packet Rate and Connection Abuse
Traffic patterns that create excessive packet rates, connection tracking, SYN floods, retransmission storms or similar network stress may be rate-limited or temporarily blocked even where the service is advertised as unmetered. This is a stability measure, not a transfer quota.
4. Overage and Upgrades
Where a plan has a monthly transfer allowance, VeltrixHost may suspend, rate-limit or offer additional bandwidth after the allowance is reached. Any overage price must be shown in the order, invoice or support quote before it is charged.
5. IP Addresses
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses remain controlled by VeltrixHost or its upstream providers and are licensed for use with an active service. Address assignments can change for routing, abuse, provider migration, scarcity or legal reasons. Customers must provide reasonable technical justification for additional IPs where required.
6. SMTP Traffic
Mailing traffic must comply with the AUP regardless of bandwidth allocation. High SMTP connection rates, open relays, abusive delivery patterns or repeated blocklisting may trigger port limits or suspension even on an SMTP-designated plan.
Open ports and PTR/rDNS tools are technical capabilities, not an exemption from anti-spam rules. These requirements apply equally to Linux SMTP VPS, Windows SMTP VPS and SMTP dedicated servers, including every address in a customer’s allocated IPv4 range.
7. DDoS and Null Routing
DDoS protection features vary by location and plan. If an attack exceeds available mitigation capacity or threatens other customers, VeltrixHost or an upstream network may temporarily null-route or filter the affected address. Such emergency action does not indicate that the customer caused the attack.
8. Network Monitoring
VeltrixHost and upstream providers may monitor network-level utilization, packet rates, routing events and security indicators needed to operate the network and investigate abuse. This does not mean VeltrixHost routinely inspects the content of customer data or communications.
These website policies are intended to state VeltrixHost’s service rules clearly. Mandatory law may create rights or obligations that cannot be excluded by contract. If a requirement is important to your order, contact VeltrixHost before payment.
